A friends passing

I'm just posting this because it effects too many people

A friend of mine not real close but still a buddy, OD on heroin and died last Monday or Tuesday.
it just goes to show how this drug effects everyone he was 61.

As some of you know I have a nephew who is 34 years old and is a heroin addict and there's not a damn thing I can do to help him. I'll probably get a phone call one day telling me the same thing happen to him. What a shame

My brother overdosed, was in a coma 10 years ago. Recovered but never quit drugs. He switched from Opiods to Heroin a few years ago. I'm surprised he has lasted this long. The dreaded call will come.

Hi Homer, I think want dryboot is meaning is that he was using prescription opioids and went to heroine. They are both in the opioids family

Sorry, guess I should have said prescription... Heroin is cheaper than prescription. Savvy? ?

Thanks Joe, sad to watch a family member, or friend go through it. As much as you want to help them, they must help themselves.

Sad deal. Fentanol is the new one sweeping the nation like wildfire. The guys working metro Salt Lake are giving out Narcan doses like trick or treat candy. It is cheap and very dangerous.

That's just horrible to watch them lose every thing they have including there life
and there is not one damn thing anyone can do about it. They have to want to get better, but the sad thing is most don't want to. I'll be praying for all addicts. There is not one family that is not affected by drugs or alcohol. It's just a sad time in our country.

The saddest thing is when you realize someone has a problem, and you want to do everything you can to help them?But it means nothing, until there willing to help themselves!
It's sad, but everyone has to hit ?there? bottom, to pull themselves back up!
I too have a brother who has fought this addiction for years...
He has had some of the best jobs and opportunity people would kill for!
43 years old, and not a pot to piss in?
He is in recovery again now, and doing well? I pray it stays this way...
I pray for everyone who is dealing with an addiction, or a family member fighting some sort of addiction!
But like I said...
You can't help anyone, who's not willing to help themselves first!!!!!!!!!!!!
