I was in B1 and on a hike and a big bear ran passed me...3 min later I heard dogs... had 3 ticks run passed me as well...moments later a shot!
Its a big no no ... 2 days later comming home I saw the guy with the bear putting it in a Toyota Tacoma (his buddies truck)..
So some still use dogs in California.
