Score this bull please

Man, I'm trying to get better at this scoring thing but I was thinking it was a 330 type bull. I figured that velvet was making him look a bit larger. Either way a nice one.

Gorgeous bull. No doubt shooter IMO. I haven't added it up but I would be surprised if he's not 375+

His fronts are scoring machines. My guess is 20-21".

370ish,,,NICE bull!

Thanks guys. I was thinking at least 360. These pics are about a mile from my camp. Can't wait!

My first thought was 370-380. That is a BIG bull. But bulls in the velvet are tough to score as they always look bigger than they are.

Either way, he's a truly BIG elk. No way he goes less than 360. No way. What a stud.

My first instinct was 365ish. Then looking at replies, looks like my guess was in there. Beautiful bull. I wouldn't pass it up. No way.

I keep coming back to look at this bull. He is a stud. There is not a unit in the world I would not shoot this bull opening morning of a hunt.

Great bull. Still thinking 370-380. Kill him and let us know!

Im saying he is closer to the 350 mark than the 370 mark, but my initial thought was 360 with a quick look.

Okay 3rds and 5ths------

Velvet always looks bigger ~~

I am more in the 340--350 area.....

A mile from your camp put an ------> in him for sure!

Thanks everyone. Looks like he falls right about where I thought. He'll be the top of my hitlist for sure and I'll spend at least the first half of the hunt likely waiting for him. I hope I keep getting pics of him in the area right up until the opener.

I came up with 358", I am giving him 18" for his fronts and a 200" main frame measurement. Beautiful animal a great example of a big mature 6 point bull.

TO ME, elk antlers all look about the same size unless you compare them to the head and body of the elk.... and that's an awfully small head and body compared to that rack!

Without looking at the other replies first or doing the math, I will say 370+. He's an absolute monster bull.

I might even be a little light now that I look closer.

Hope you kill him and have him actually scored.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-29-16 AT 05:51PM (MST)[p]I had to come back and look at this bull on a bigger screen. This is a stud bull. Looking at the width of his ears compared to the mass of his beams at his swords, This is any exceptional heavy bull. 60"+. Looking at the 30" brisket to withers and compare it to the main beam length, he's 30" to the sword with 24" behind the sword. 54" beam length. Looking at his 16" base to nose tip and compare to his time length. 20-22" bottoms, 20+ swords, 15-16 thirds, 9-10" fifths. Default 40" spread. Maybe I'm crazy but this is what I'm thinking.
G-1: 21"
G-2:21"
G-3:15"
G-4:20"
G-5: 9"
Mass:60"
Beams:53"each
Inside:38"

376 total
Awesome bull either way. Thanks for posting, gives us something to do while we wait for the games to begin!

My guess is he is between 365 and 375. Great looking rack, Hope you get a close up look at him during the season.

Thanks everyone! Needless to say I'll be spending some significant time the first half of the season trying to locate this guy haha. Hope to be able to put a tape to him by the end of the season but it'll be a tall order.
