I heard some bugles this past week. Not much though considering how many elk I saw.

Another month in UT before they really start talking.

3 weeks and you will start to hear a few anytime of the day then BANG it will go to a full choir,

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

I sat and watched a bull bugle with a herd of about 40 cows/calves/spikes on July 4th a couple years ago. I'm not sure they ever really stop bugling, they just do it more in the rut.

They really don't stop talking...with that said please don't blow a call til the second week of september unless you have a hoochie mama. They work 24/7, 399 days a year. Wear that b!tch out espescially from the truck or the 4 wheeler. I've found they work best if you leave your vehicle running while you crank on that thing!
