We just got back from a 10-day Wyoming elk hunt. Scouted this unit in August and 3 days prior to the opener. Weather was a struggle rain/snow/wind everyday. Elk were tough to find because of the changing weather patterns. We hiked many miles daily. The day we were lucky enough to find this guy we hiked 13+ miles.
Nothing better than having family and friends with you to share the experience. The pack out was over 2 miles and would have never happened without them.
Special thanks to my friend from Cody. Without his help none of this would have been possible. To top it off his wife made a Mexican dinner to die for.
