I was fortunate to take a really nice bull on my Utah hunt this year. We passed lots of 330-350 type bulls looking for something really special. I ended up shooting this bull on the last morning of my hunt. He has that "pretty" look I was looking for and couldn't say no.

My little brother films hunts and put together this video of our outing. Great memories!

That's a great bull and I really enjoyed the video. Your brother did a great job with it.
Lots of great memories made on your hunt.

Awesome bull for sure, I like the way he looks too.

I'd say you shot the best bull from the video. Bull of a lifetime and great footage to document the experience. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for all of the kind remarks! I've always dreamed of being able to take a long-tined, symmetrical bull! My only regret is that the weather was so bad that we couldn't get any video of the last day. It was so much fun being able to share the experience with my brother.

Dang that is a pretty bull you would be hard pressed to get a better one.but some of us would like to know what unit you hunted..looks a little like the rock pile know as the dutton.
thanks for the story.

Absolutely beautiful bull!! Stuff that dreams are made of.

The thing is though, you can't say you passed up a bunch of 330-350 class bulls and then took this one without posting a score. That's just mean. ;-)

Congrats on a Great Bull. Your video was also fantastic to watch. Could we possibly see more angles of your Big Bull. Thanks for sharing with us.

Fantastic, loved how you talked about getting close to the animals as you were shooting your LR rifle. LOL

If you have ever been in that desert country it's not hard to figure out what tag/area he hunted. Congrats on a beautiful bull. That video was cool to your brother did a good job on it

Great bull man, and great video! I am curious what happened with your Night Force turret? Did it actually strip, or did the screws that hold the turret cap on come loose? I am asking because I just bought a Night Force NXS scope and hope not to have the same problem as you did when it matters most.

Thanks

Sliver,

I was obviously pretty frustrated with my scope after missing the bull. It did end up just being the screws that hold the cap tight. They came loose so there was no tension to turn the turret. Obviously I didn't think about it in the moment. It was a good lesson for me of the importance of tightening things down before a hunt. My rifle had already made the trip to the NWT and over 100 miles on horse back for a sheep hunt the month prior. All the bouncing around loosened the screws.

Thank you for the explanation. I'll make sure mine are snug! Glad it wasn't the internal mechanics of your turret.
