tired of chasing the unicorn of the aka spikes only in my state want to decent chance at something bigger im more worried about opportunity then the size im rifle hunter thanks

I'm happy to point you to some units in Idaho. Pretty decent success rates--way better than general season UT.

I would recommend Colorado, lots of elk and public land. I hunt with an outfitter but when I ride around I don't see the huge crowds on public land that everyone talks about. Good luck.
