archery elk unit 262

I was drawn the only archery tag in unit 262. never hunted it. i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the area and the elk i could expect to find. thanks

Find the springs around Mt Charleston, get high. You will find the Elk. Im assuming you are from Vegas/Pahrump? If so, go take a drive and often. There is not much area with Elk, not nearly as much as there is with deer (hell, you can find a few quality deer on Mt. Potosi). Easy scouting if you live close.

If you live far, well, I am not sure why anyone would put in for Elk in 26

I heard that there are some above cold creek. Not sure if they are there in aug/sept but it might be worth a look.
