LAST EDITED ON Jun-25-17 AT 10:36PM (MST)[p]I'll be a Utah resident next year again. I have 13 points right now. I've been holding out for a Manti early tag but I'm not sure I want to give it 2-4 more years. I'd really like to get a solid 340+ type bull.

Looking around it seems I'm right there for South Cache, nebo, West Desert Deep Creek for early rifle or manti, wasatch, book cliffs muzzy or dutton late.

I'm only wanting to hunt with rifle or muzzy. I can go back to chase bulls with my bow in Montana every year if I want.

Are there any units in not looking at? What about the cwmus?

I've heard that but I'm not familiar with the unit. I know I can hold my own behind my glass but where to start looking would be just throwing a dart at the map.

If I knew general areas to look I know I could turn something up. Is the Dutton like the Manti where most of the late bulls are down on the private?

Of the units u talked about they all hold that caliber of bull. Your best units would be either Manti or the book cliffs. I would stay away from the cache units or wasatch right now. Cache u would just burn your points the wasatch if the dwr stays with the current management will rebound in the next 10 years but it has taken a beating with all the control tags they sold the last few years. The books are around 18 points for rifle but I could draw muzzy at either the Manti or book cliffs right now. West desert was a premier unit in the past but I don't know much about it right now.
