I could not be more proud of my wife Chantelle Carter for this amazing accomplishment. This elk tag was the first big game tag she has ever drawn and she definitely capitalized. She was amazing during the whole hunt. We hiked 30 miles in 5.5 days and she never complained once. We saw a lot of amazing country and watched many bulls. On the evening of day 5 it all came together and she made a perfect double lung shot and the bull went down about 80 yards from where she shot him. To top it all off, she even packed out his head all of the uphill 1.5 miles to the truck!!!
