Dad was able to get it done on his late season tag. 11 week after open heart surgery.

Those late season hunts can be tough, especially in mild weather.
Congrats to your dad RyMan. I hope you packed it out for him :)

That is a big ole bull! Congrats to both of you, especially your pops for what he's overcome to get back out.

Congrats to your Dad on a great Bull. 11 weeks after heart surgery is awesome. Sounds like he had some good motivation to aid in his recovery.

Huge congratulations!
I believe my son-in-law watched from afar as you shot that bull.
It makes the story even more cool if that's the bull.

Thank you all for the kind words. This bull well exceeded our expectations. We had decided the first mature bull would be "the one" due to his limits the Doc had set. At first light we spotted this bull way up canyon from where we had set up. We talked it over and came to the conclusion that if we went for it then physically he might be in trouble the rest of the hunt. He said "lets go for it". It took us another hour to get to the 500 yard mark. Luck have it, the bull had only moved 20 yards. The rest is history. I'm so proud of my dad, his determination was second to none. Thank you to the many friends who helped get this bull packed out and worked so hard to help make it happen.

Congrats on a great bull! I Have a lot of history with this bull and I'd love to share it with you. I sent you a PM. Hope to hear from you.

Good stuff. Congratulations to you and your dad.
