My brother, nephew and I have this tag this year. I am familiar with the area and know where the elk are in the summer ranges. However, I am a little less familiar with where they are in the winter. I have a few ridges in mind to get started with, but was curious with so little snow in the Panguitch Lake area where the elk will be this winter. We are planning on hunting the weekend of January 6th. If anyone makes it up there earlier in the hunt and wouldn't mind letting me know where they are seeing elk, we would really appreciate it. I will also be putting in a call to the Cedar City DWR office to get some insight as well.
