Fillmore Pahvant Archery Elk Hunt

I am looking to link up with some of the lucky past and present Fillmore Pahvant Archery Elk tag holders. I was unsuccessful again this year and now have 13 points. I would like to see how your hunt and scouting was/goes as I try and decide if this is indeed the place I want draw in the next year or two. Any insight from past/current hunting or scouting would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on doing my own scouting there this summer but figured it couldn't hurt asking either. Thank you!

My wife has the archery tag this season.

We will not scout until July but I can keep you informed with what we are seeing and maybe what we ultimately bring home.

There are some incredible bulls down there, but it is a big steep place to hunt.

I really appreciate that! That will be a blast for her! I have been on that unit during the rut and it was quite the experience! I am interested to see how rutty they are or aren't during archery and if the main strategy is setting up next to water or if calls work. As we get closer to July ill check in with you. Good Luck!

Fun unit with some pretty good bulls! We have 5 GS deer tags (rifle) for down there this year. I'm pretty excited about being back down on that mountain. Don't overlook the low country for elk.

I thought I had a chance this year with 22 points going in for the rifle draw, but still no luck. I look forward to your story in late September on a successful hunt!
