Bulls on the hoof

I drew a great elk tag this year and I'm not much of an elk hunter, mostly deer. I would appreciate it if any of you guys have pictures of bulls on the hoof and estimated or known scores. Thanks for the help!

340-ish, maybe. Not very clear, it was early morning and I was sneaking on what I thought was a big ol' muley! ;-)

That's a great bull NVPete, I'd shoot him opening day without question. I'm trying to shoot a big mature bull on this tag due to the expense, plus the waiting period and the amount of points it will probably take to draw another NV elk tag. I live in a state in which I can kill young raghorn bulls every year over the counter. Thanks for the smarta$$ question though.

Wish I could help with that unit. I know last year I struggled on judging bulls over 370. I was constantly under scoring them by 10".

Have fun with it. My NV elk hunt was the best elk hunt I was ever on.

I do pretty well with deer and scoring in person, pictures make it difficult. But elk have so much going on and if you misjudge points plus or minus just a couple inches across the board you're way off. Just trying to get my bearings and telling myself if I can scout up a 340+ and turn him up opening morning I'll take him. I have the whole season off work and don't want to drag it out that long but if I have to i will.
