Hearing any bugles yet?

I haven't been out much but last night I took a video of a bull that had broke off his 4th point already, so there is some rut activity going on. From what my friends have seen the bulls are bugling in the mornings but not in the evenings yet.

They are going nuts from Morning until Dark on parts of the Fishlake, and I mean non stop. Getting fun!!!

Most of the guys I know hunting general tags across the west are getting some responses and hearing a little activity but nothing much. Should get better every day now.

They started in Idaho on Monday. It was quiet up till late Sunday night. Crazy fun chasing bulls. You'd think it was the first time a five point had ever heard cow talk. Come running in, and too stupid to leave. Didn't find one big enough to release an arrow, but it was lots of fun.

In Wyoming this past weekend they were heating up really good. Watched 3 bulls chase around a huge herd of cows on Saturday night. Bulls were bugling, tearing up trees & bushes, and wallowing. Love this time of year!!

I was hearing a few vocal bulls in Wyoming as well.

That sounds good to me. I am heading to the Bighorns to hunt elk with my bow starting this Saturday. It sounds like the timing may be just right.

Where are you heading Servehim? What part of the state?

Southern Wyoming Unit 32 . Leaving 3:00 Friday. Rumors are that the rut is ON !!!!! A new deal for me, I'm a NM guy and the hunts I apply for here are pre rut. We chase bugles but it's prior to the classic rut.....I'm Pumped.

I have been hunting the Chalk Creek area and bulls are going crazy. Unfortunately they begin about an hour before dark in the evenings so you need to get on them quick before dark. Mornings have been the best for bugles and that to is limited. Heat really has them not wanting to come out of the timber.
