I drew for a south cache tag and was wondering if anyone had some good info on this unit in mid November? I am somewhat familiar to it but not late in the year. I know I'm not going to get a 400 class bull but would like a shot at a 320-340 bull, is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pray for snow. That will help push the bulls down lower. 320-340 bulls are definitely there and even bigger if you out in the effort to find them. This unit is my backyard and a fun area to hunt.

Unlucky,
I've never hunted that unit, but I have hunted the late hunt. The big bulls will be isolated in hide away holes that time of year, or on private property. I'd try to talk to anyone who has had success on your hunt. The elk tend to travel to the same general locations year after year and you can often find them in small bachelor herds.
If you are seeing cows in November, you are probably in the wrong place.
For what that's worth. Best of luck

I drew the late south cache rifle in 2016. It is a fun hunt seen bulls daily. Hunt hard enough you will have an opportunity at least one good bull 310? +. I missed a 340 bull on my hunt and was able to harvest a 300? broken up 5x6. My personal opinion is that the south cache is on a come back. The drop in tags is starting to help keep bulls around. I believe there are 11 tags for that late hunt. It feels like you have the whole unit to yourself.
If you are still interested on some info shoot me a PM I have good pics of bulls.
