Just looking for some input from guys that have hunted this unit recently. I got the points to burn with some friends just tired of waiting. I'll be going over scouting in late April before putting in. Any help would be great thank you

Hey I got 8NR points which is at least one too short. But I have some recent info well somewhat recent (2017). Pm me and I will let you know what I can. Would also love to jump in on a party so I could burn my points. Oh I guess that was a little forward..

Are you a resident or nonresident. I believe 11 is what it took for nonresident last year. There are elk there but not worth the points imo.

It's a decent hunt, but certainly not an 11 point hunt for a NR. Don't think it's worth more than 3-5 points especially now that you can't camp in Norgard during the archery season.

I was a res of OR for 45 years hunted it a few times. My last bull from there made Eastmans bow hunting, but it was 7 miles from the truck. Now as a NR I will never hunt it again. It's a sub 300" unit with an occasional 320-330 bull taken. If you just want to have a hunt with a decent chance of taking a bull with you're bow then it's ok, but don't expect a big one.

When you compare what you can draw in other states for 11 points Oregon is an absolute joke!

I full heartedly agree with this I cannot believe people are using 7 points to draw this as residents it should be no more then 2-3 for both residents and nonresidents

I don't believe many nonres hunters are thinking of sled springs by choice but almost a forced default due to Oregon hosing nonresidents with only a couple of real trophy tags every other year while raising the prices of our license threefold. We just want out of the Oregon game with something to show for our money over the last 15-20 years... If only I had picked Arizona over Oregon twenty years ago but they hooked me with a $45 license.....

you will not draw with 25 points with 3 hunters i hunted it last yedar took 11 points per person. we killed a rag 5x6 and a 310 6x7 fun hunt but tuff to many people!! lots of wolves!!!!
