San Juan elk should be Bessy's year

Well according to the numbers anyway. Last year 10 of the 22 max points guys drew. So if they all come back the same. That leaves 12 for the guaranteed ten tags. He couldn't be one of the two could he ?

Max points is 24 I believe. On the the multi season San Juan elk 6 with 24 points put in for tag only 1 drew the tag.

Kawboy on here put in for a elk tag, 7 tags available 8 people with the most points put in and he was the one that didn't draw lol.

I just looked and last year, before the draw, there were 14 residents with 24 elk points and 89 that had 23 points.

Bessy, with your luck, I wouldn't waste any money on lotto tickets. But with the points you have now, I'd only put in for the multi-season tag. That is, if you can still pull a bow back ;-)

Well he said he has 23 points this year. So that puts him in the group of 34 of 22 points last year. So being a couple points back from max points is going to hurt him. No gauantee tag for sure just luck of the draw. With only 20 overall tags.. I was just thinking you had max points or near max. When I got pulling and printing odds I accidentally pulled a San Juan page. Good luck buddy!!

One also has to keep in mind that several top point holders returned their tags last year because of drought. That means many of those top point guys are still in that pool.

with only 2 tags for that unit you might luck out but in reality your looking at 18 to 19 more years...
