California Quail

I dont no if much bird hunters post on this site, but I look forward to hunting Quail every year, when those tiny valley Quail flush over my bird dog it gets my hart pumping like I was drawing back on a buck. Does any body know if it was a doubel hatch this year some guys said that there was a tripel hatch this year. post back any thing about bird hunting I know its hard to get bird shots but if you got the pics post them.

Now that you mention it, I have seen more Quail on the ranch this year. I have no idea how many hatches there were, but there are sure more here. Muledeernut
 
I hunt Fort Hunter Leget and around that area, we had a good shoot this year and got to go are fare share of times.Quail hunting is one of those things that does not sound that fun but when you get your first bird your hart is pumping like crazy, my Dad took me my frist time and I will go till the day I cant walk that far any more, thanks for posting back.

No, but I know most of the guys. I think they're called The Antelope Archers. The shooting range is right by the Rodeo grounds. PC
 
I was hunting up in Suasanville, I don't know if it was a double hatch but there was a $hit load of birds. It snowed new years weekend and the birds were holding tight, and jumping as singles ar your feet. The poor things did not stand a chance. It was so fun,it was worth the 5 hour drive. I hit it three weekends in Jan.
