Steelhead reports ???

Just when I was poised to knock 'em dead we get dumped on by the rain and my river gets blown out.......AGAIN! Season ends March 31. so little hope remains as more rain is expected.

Maybe next year if all goes well......:)

HUNT FISH FOREVER

I feel your pain Steve!
Every time I think the rivers are just about in shape, it freaking dumps more rain.
We haven't been able to get out for a month.
I may have to quit thinking steelhead and get after the Turkeys.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-28-06 AT 06:10AM (MST)[p]Over the weekend my son and I did the Panhandle No Idaho. The water was low clear and few fish. From what the locals said the big numbers of fish still waiting to come up. The ones in the river had been there for some time. A few fresh fish. We had 11 hook-ups and landed 6. Kept 3 released 3 small 32" big 37". That was Friday and Sat.
Then the snow rain came. Plus it was warm. Holy smokes the River blew out Sunday morning. The muddy water came and the river rose big time no fishing sun. I am thinking and I have been told as soon as it stabilizes. The fish will come. 500 miles up stream from eel and HH. Here is a pic of son and a hen.

Way to go Rut!!! Glad you got into them a little bit. That's the one thing about steelhead fishing sometimes, timing can be everything. It just makes it that much sweeter when you hit it right though. Thanks for the great pictures!
