Sage Hen and Blue Grouse

How many of you are grouse hunting this year? I have seen many
birds as I have been out scouting elk. Gave my dog away to my
friend (long story) so I will be hunting on foot.

I shot a limit of blue's yesterday but not as easy as most years here in Oregon, numbers are down or maybe I was just in the wrong place. I did get two points on them from my youngest GSP so that was neat, don't grouse to hold very often.

Yes, D13er. His saddle wore out and I couldn't find another one
that would fit him. He is probably a lot happier now.

I am going up saturday to "try" and shoot some grouse. Are you going saturday woody?

Muzz,

I am not sure what I am doing yet. I will either be fishing or
scouting elk (most likely).

However, I may just give it a try. I need to check the proc and see if you need to buy the tags for the sage hens this year.

I can go in the morning. There is a place above the resevoir that has some water. I saw some there the other day. No guarantees but it would probably be pretty good.
