I went out hunting Chukar today and ended up with a limit of quail. I couldnt believe the numbers in this canyon, There must have been 200 birds. I did take a few cool pictures. Please let me know what you think.

Great picture. Love the license plate too.(except for the Wolf Pack part). Just kidding. Nice pictures.

Love that second picture!!

I will be up around Winnemucca next weekend chasing quail and chukar. The quail seem to be taking off wherever they can get into. I have a nice male in the freezer at the house from last year that I need to get stuffed.

Good job!!

Yeah I am having that male mounted. What part of the muck are you hunting in? I have 50,000 acres in golconda that I hunt on.

Just got back from around Battle Mountain myself. I don't think the snow helped me much on this particular trip. There was 6-8 inches of snow making the climbing on the rocks pretty exciting. Most of the birds were in steep rocks away from any cover so wild flushes were the norm. 4 beautiful points on coveys though. 3 of them were on coveys feeding under fairly tall sage so those coveys paid dearly.

Very good work my friend. Looks like another good day in northern nevada. Im pretty damn sure i've seen those plates of yours out there on I-80. I've been tearing it up in the muck, been ending up with just over 30 birds each month. what kind of dogs do you run?

For quail it is with my friend who lives in Paradise Valley. We hunt wherever we can, no place in particular really. Never did make it up there, was hoping for a little better snow to fall up there to bring them together some, and also going on the snow I had down here to chase lions. Never did tree any lions, and never did get any birds, though I did see some chukar while lion hunting, and man were they wild, and I didn't want to walk back down to the Jeep to get the scattergun, dogs were having fun anyway on that lion track.

Well, enough of my rambles.

Later,

Marcial
