I'd check the forest personally...yup definately check the forest!!

Don't mind the Smart A$$e$ on here (this site has plenty of 'em!). As for grouse, try up Logan Canyon. My family has been successful and consistent up that way for a number of years now. I don't have much experience hunting them once snow is on the ground, but you can probably get into them where you would expect to... while the weather is still good.
Check Pine pockets and young clumps of Aspen growth that are near a water source. That's where we normally find 'em. Let us know how you do, and pics are always welcome! Good Luck!
