is anyone else running the reddogs?

I'm a bird dog guy, but I don't run the red ones. That is a fine looking pooch, and it must be a good one. It can be hard to find a Viszla with any hunt in it anymore. Got any more pics? Love those bird dogs!

Just picked up a new pup this fall to run with my GSP. She is a firecrack that is for sure. I am really excited to work with her as the weather warms up a little.

shummy, you do have to be carful where you get em from. lots of breeding going on for "trophy dogs" insted of hunting dogs.

they get a bad rap for being too timid, its just that these dogs are loaded with personality, and take training different than a pointer or a GSP. but the guys that figure this out and dont ruin them, they are one hell of a pleasure to hunt behind, as is any good dog.

Muley, they are the hyperest dang dog i've ever been around, and i raised pointers long before my first visla.

feel free to post up your pics guys, would love to see them, the breed of dog dont matter. i'll put up a few more to.

here is one of my dad and bro in law, with a utah opening day of roosters.

i run a gwp, but one of my hunting partners has a little female viszla. he got her from a rescue and her first year out i thought there was no hope for her. she has turned out to be one hell of a dog. getting pretty excited for the chukars in 09! here is a pic of my wirehair after a good chukar hunt (hope it comes thru).

There are a few pics of a couple of my dogs in the Nevada chukar post. If you can't find them or if you want I'll post some up here. They are EP's out of some of the best bloodlines around Honky Tonk and Elhew stuff. They have been a joy to run everything has come natural to them. Bird dogs are so cool, you all have some fine looking hounds.

good stuff guys, i have always loved the look of the GWP. Shummy, have you ever been around the Miller line of E. pointers? i almost droped some serious coin (for me anyway) on a pup a few years ago. all of mine have been from Elhew lines.

thier is an old field trial gent i know, great guy, he is looking for a nat'l champ, so i pick up one year old pointers from him he dont think will make the grade, he has some serious money wrapped up in these pups, but pretty much gives them away if he doesnt like them. all of them i have got from him have made great gun dogs, almost too much run for my liking when i get them, but they come around with work.

I know all about Miller bred dogs, they do run big, which I don't really mind, there are equal dogs out there for less money.
My dogs are out of Angels High Moon who is a very well known dog in both the trial and the hunting world. He is out of Honky Tonk Attitude, who everyone knows about, and Rangers Barshoe Angel, who is the winningest female of any breed on the NSTRA circuit.
Their mom is Last Chance Ella, who is line bred Elhew Strike, and is a well known dog as well. My dogs have been top notch at every thing I've asked them to do in their young life.

Deepforks, nice dog. have owned GWPs for bout 25 years. And really only hunt chukar anymore. Thought i was lookin @ one of my photos for a second.

thanks elkslayer. got any pics of your dogs you can post? love looking at wirehair photos:) heres one shortly after i got him as a pup...figured i had a keeper. what kennel/line do you get your dogs out of?
