REMEMBER!!!

THERE'S ONLY ONE bobcat!!!

I probably missed something here, but what river is that? Thanks and great fish and pics!

It looks like your throwing all streamers right now--good choice. Which types of streamers are you using?

Seriously? Is your fly really that good that it's a secret? Come on man, it's really not that big of a deal. I do like the Autum Splendor though--i've been tying all my new streamers articulated with a stinger section and hook--pretty sweet. I'll try to post a pic of my "secret bug"....

LAST EDITED ON Apr-20-09 AT 05:02PM (MST)[p]Ok, here's the deal...if it were up to me i'd tie the fly for you. Tie it on your line and make the cast, set the hook, reel it in, and hand the damn fishy over to you for the pictures!...that'd be easy!

Seriously guy? I offer up some pics of the fun we're having and try answering questions you have about where and general patterns, but that's not enough? Seriously?

There is a reason i dont share our go to pattern- (and i dont feel obligated to tell you what it is, but i will) its not my fly pattern and the guy that tied it has asked me nicely not to give out the info! So i'm not trying to be a prick. (that part just comes naturally)

Sorry i cant give you more....I will say that if we were to coincidentally meet on the river, i'd be willing to share a few patterns with ya. but probably not our go to fly!

No problem--i understand all about secret patters--here are 3 of mine.

By the way, I'm a proficient fly fisher and wouldn't need you to tie my fly on or hook and land fish for me--i've done it many times...

By the way, what river is that, or is that secret too? Those are some awesome browns!

I was being very sarcastic about tying your fly...etc. I could tell by your replies that you've caught a few on a fly rod. And (laughingly) that you'd like to catch a few more in some of my favorite holes. Its ok, a lot of people fish, these holes and the reason they consistantly produce for us is that the people that fish them, dont a). have the right bug b). have the patience c). know whats really in the hole- if they knew there were (and there are holes that we've roughly guessed this about) 20 fish (browns) over 20 inches, they might spend more time in the hole before they give up!

No, the river, isn't a secret. Its the Weber(which is a big long river with 3 sections) but its definetly the weber.

I'm really liking your flies, especially the top pattern, and if it wouldn't offend you, might i suggest a color scheme that i think might work great too? Tied just like you have it with these colors--- Brown upper body, yellow/gold under body. just a thought!

Good luck out on the river, bud!

I like the way you think and i'll tie some up. The Weber huh? What state is that in? I'm a Colorado boy and have fished most big western waters in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and eastern Utah. Streamer fishing is kind of my gig as most people are interested in watching little and some big fish eat their flies--I prefer catching the biggest fish possible in the river i'm fishing--streamers seem to be the ticket for me.

I picked up on your sarcasm pretty quick--your pic says a lot!

thanks for the info and keep stacking those big browns!
