fort peck fishing

lucky enough to draw a general deer tag for fort peck area (3rd week nov). I was wondering what the fishing was like that time of year. Staying in Fort Peck, don't plan on pulling a boat, hoping the shore fishing would produce some fish (doesn't matter what type) Any info appreciated.

Most guys I know ohly take a lund with a 225 Merc on the back. The others who don't have boats only fish that big nasty lake when its froze over. Based on the 4 winters I have been in MT that sounds unlikey.
