New GSP

Last year I picked out and paid for a female GSP from Rockin G kennels in Oklahoma. I had been looking for a black and white female and finally had the one I wanted. I worked out a deal with a guy from Rexburg Idaho that was going to drive down and pick up a pup of his own, to also pick up our pup. Exactly a week from the day I was to drive down to Rexburg and pick up the pup, we recieved a phone call from the US Marine Corps that our son had been wounded in Afghanistan. So to cut a long story short, our priorties changed and we wouldn't have time for a new pup. Jon was very understanding and told us the next year we could have first pick again. Well, here she is whelped 4/12. Her name is Dot.

Sorry guys, the address on the good pics contain symbols that don't work correctly. I will upload some others sorry about the quality. I will pick her up on 6-7 and take my own pics.

Here are a few better pictures of Dot. She is going to be more athletic than my male and a bit bigger. She sure is a pretty pup, an awful fancy bird dog.

How' she work out her first year???

I just got one 4 weeks ago myself. Stoked!!!

Tons of instinct. If she doesn't work out it'll be my fault.

Thanks guys,
She is relentless, her endurance is incredible. We think she may be part bulldog she won't give up. Steady to the wing and retrieves well. Has a little trouble with her backing but I think that will get better with age, she wants to be the first to point and first to the bird everything seems to be a competition for her. Really pleased with the dog.

You sure you didn't dunk her head in a bucket of black paint? I've never seen one marked like that. She is beautiful!

My son is doing well, lost both legs below the knees. He was the only one of 5 that survived the IED. I think that bothers him more than losing his feet. He's a tough kid, already riding motorcyles and driving again. We will chase Mule Deer in Idaho for the first time this year since he was injured. We are both pumped to go.
