Was working today with a couple carpenters from Redding Ca. They have been hitting the Trinity River for nice King Salmon every weekend and say that they have never seen it better. Last weekend, the one guy said that he had 13 fish on but only managed to land 3. That's still pretty darn good!!!
They are running in the 12- 25 lb range with a few going over 30, fishing down near willow creek but the fish can be higher up now, the water is high which is why there's so many fish, nets and traps not as effective, and they're catching them on dr'ed up tuna balls.
