Goose Question

I was just out kickin' leaves in the yard when I heard what sounded like a bunch of giant crickets flying overhead.
It was a couple hundred Geese way up there headed South.
Don't know about Geese. Anyone tell me what type they were just on what I described?

was they white with black wing tips with a few dark colored birds in the same flock if that was the case they was snow and blues.

Yup--the colors were mixed as far as I could see, but the predominant tones were dark and my view wasn't affected by sun.
