Monster Rainbow Trout

We have had some unseasonably warm weather around here recently so I took advantage and hit the river for a few days. The big fish were out and feeding aggresivly. Here are a few pics of the better fish.

A pig caught on literally the 1st drift of the day

Didnt think I was going to top that one, not today at least.....that is until lunchtime when I spotted this beast. Cleanest, most beasutiful fish ive ever laid eyes on. Not a single scratch or scar anywhere on her. 30in long, 21 inch girth

At the tying bench right now. Cant wait for the weather to break so I can get back out there!

They were hitting black rojo midges size 20 and BWO's size 18. Im sure any little black midge pattern (jujubee, black beauty etc) or baetis pattern would tear em up. Got the box re-stocked, now I just need the weather to cooperate!
