34.74 lb Idaho Rainbow!

A rainbow over 14 pounds heavier than the standing state record ? and bigger than any other U.S. record, it appears ? was landed in Southeast Idaho this week by a Pocatello angler.

That's a huge bow, regardless if the trout is natural or sterile. Congrats on a great catch.

Here are the Spec's on this fish. My friend is a IDFG Regional Officer and he emailed the data.\\

The fish was caught in American Fall's Reservior and is the new Idaho Record. Lenght 41 1/8" inches , Girth 27 1/8" inches Offical Recorded weight 34.70 lbs and the old Idaho State Record was 20.02 lbs.
