Just got back from my yearly 5 day fishing trip on the N. Fork/Kelly Creek.

The fishing, and scenery(as always) was great. West Slope Cutthroats, and some Rainbows.

Thought I'd post up a few pics for ya'll to enjoy.

WOW. That's some beautiful country. Where is that river at, and why aren't youguys wareing waders?

Did you guys really only catch 1 fish?

Looks like a ton of fun, with or without a bunch of fish. Thanks for sharing.

Velvety...the river is located in the panhandle of Idaho.
We drive to Missoula and cut across into Idaho.

I've been doing this trip for 14 years(although I've missed a couple years in there) but it takes an act of a judge to keep me out of there.

As for waders- Ha- if you're scared of getting wet, put them on, if you're scared of being cold, don't worry, water temps were @ 60-67 throughout the day- this year we fished mostly from 2pm-9pm, and caught 30+ fish(each) every day, all on dry flies!!

I'm gonna add a link to the WestSlope cutty, they aren't a big fish, but when you hook a 15"-18" in that big water....son, you got a fight on! we'd hoped to catch,( and had 2 follow smaller hooked up cuts out of the depths) a bull trout, but NO dice on this trip.

I don't have many pictures of my fish because,... well I'm wet wading, and my camera is double ziplock bagged, and the WestSlopes just don't hold still(ever). So its off the hook, and back in the water, so they don't suffer any more in the warm water. But if I can get my buddy to text me a couple of his pics I'll add them.

But honestly, its more about trying to stay drunk in some of the best looking country that God ever created.

I highly recommend hitting a river, that has these fish in it! This river, is the best for getting them on dry flies!

Again, I'm glad to share our trip with ya'll!

One of the best kept secret places. Never fished it but spent a good deal of time at Kelly Creek. Good times with the boys.

Great I wanted to go. I think I will enjoy your pics and my wine. Don't the Steelhead run in that river? I fish south of there but never caught a cutt, or Bull. Great Pics.
