Utah fishing vacation ?

Can someone suggest a fall fishing vacation in Utah ?
August, September or October.

Utah or anywhere in the South West, I'm from Calif. and I don't want to drive all the way to Colorado or Montana.

Two men, and a 4X4 truck, three or four days camping and a day or two in a hotel or lodge.
Possibly renting a boat some days and doing some shore or creek fishing on foot.
I might even buy a small 10 or 12 foot car top boat.

I was looking at Fish lake and the surrounding area.

Would Flaming Gorge be better ?

Strawberry ?

Fish lake is awesome but to shore fish you would have to go up the road to a little resevoir I can't think of the name of it but from reading what all you want to do I would suggest flaming gorge that place is cool hope this helps

Why leave California?
It has better fishing than any state you listed including Colorado or Montana.
