Those are some Dandy's. I have hunt around that place but never fished it, Next time I draw a tag there, I think I will bring a rod along too.

>Pretty nice fish...do you eat them or just catch them? Are they good eating, Boney ?<

TrophyHunter there is a one fish keep 40in minimum length so I just catch and release more interested in the game than eating them but I Have heard they taste the same as Pike, you need to filet and skin them then cut into thick steaks.. The current Record from Bluewater stands at 50 1/2 inches. They are a blast to feel hit that lure and they fight like a BULL!!

trophyhunter there is a one fish per day keep 40in minimum length. I personally just enjoy the game and it's a blast when they slam the lure they really pound it and they fight like a BULL! I have never eaten one but have heard they are just like pike very boney so you must filet and skin them the slice into thick steaks.

Ol' Buzzy...just caught this post! Dang! Those look almost as big as some of your big diamondbacks! :)

A neat thread guys, thanks! Looks like a ton of fun!

I fished a lot but never wet a line where there were Pike like fish to catch.

Good stripers, up to thirty pounds, caught on rebel and rapalas ripping from shore in fresh water lakes is about as close to what i've done compared to that. Just love the feel of setting your hook into brute force.
