Trijicon Scopes

I live in Idaho. If we have a physician's note we can be certified to use a 1x scope. I currently have a T/C on my Marksberry. I have been thinking of buying a Trijicon reflex. They come in 1x24 with a 4.5 moa and a 6.5 moa dot or a 12.9 triangle. Or they have a 1x42 with a 4.5 and a 6.5 dot. Have any one tried these scopes. No one seems to carry them and I really dont like sending items back on the internet. I'm thinking the 4.5 moa would be best. Any feed back would be appreciated. We are not allowed to use red dot's because they have a battery. These Trijicon's are fiber optic. Thanks

I wanted one of these very badly. I got to hold and look through the 1X42 in Sportsmans and I was dissapointed in the light transmission through the glass. I am not much into reflex sights, but I guess they are all this way. Its still a neat sight, but in the dark woods with poor lighting I would think that you would not be able to see an elk at 50 yards through that lense. I was in a well lighted big store where you can't tell any difference between a low end scope and a high end one, but this thing was like looking through sunglasses.

Might still be worth getting and I still kindof want it, but it will definately not be usable in the half hour before sunrise and after sunset, and could be suspect in the middle of the day on an overcast and dark day in the woods.

On a positive note...you will always be able to see that dot!
