465 grain no excuses bullet quartering to us. Bullet was in the pelvis.
CO bull shot 1/2 mile from my bull last year.

It was a 200 yard shot. No shoulder bone hit. Died after walking 100 yards. Killed 1/2 mile from "No Tellum Creek".

Congrats on a great bull. I shoot the same gun and bullet with 100 grains of Pyrodex P. Pretty lethal combination. Killed my bull this year at 135 yards. Bullet entered right through the left shoulder and exited behind the right shoulder. He didn't go 15 yards. Love it when they go down right in front of you.
