No Excuses Bullet

Been hearing a lot bout this new bullet.

What's so neat about it?

Seems pretty reasonably priced too.

Am I missing something?

I think they have actually been around for a while and are very popular with guys using the Whites rifles. I have been buying them for the last couple of years because my Super 91 Whites shoot so nice with them. The Whites use a slip fit bullet and the No Excuses fit real nice.

Big lead bullet, made uniformly and they generally fly great. I think the smallest 50 cal is 460 gr.

Most people use less powder with these and get great results.

As stated, not new, but the guy makes them in bulk from pure lead and doesn't charge that much for them compared to todays "premium" bullets. But in truth, this is more a premium bullet than powerbelts.

That said, if you have a T/C gun with a QLA, they may not shoot worth a durn. My T/C renegade (no QLA) shoots them well. My T/C Omega (with QLA) shot 8 inch groups with them at 25 yards! (but that is what it did for any full bore lead bullet)

Well, I've got a TC Omega, a TC Northwest Explorer, and a TC New Englander. Are these bullets going to be compatible with any of these guns?

I have an omega. I tried no excuses, thors, and hornady fpb's. couldn't get the no excuses to group well at all. best groups were with the thors with blackhorn 209 powder, but they were back ordered. I ended up using hornady fpb's and was satisfied with the results. I ended up shooting a mule deer at 200yds with them in colorado.

I would skip the Omega and try them in the Northwest explorer and the New Englander.

Northwest explorer does have a QLA, but they will guarantee that it will shoot conicals (unlike the Omega). I don't think the New Englander has a QLA, but could be wrong on that because it is no longer offered new that I can tell, so can't find a discription. Does it have a QLA (false muzzle)? If not, it should shoot them well.

Has anybody tried them with a Traditions Pursuit?

HOOK 'EM!

I also shoot a Super 91 and use the No Excuses bullets. Have been shooting them for several years now and they shoot great and hit hard.
