How do you load and what do you load for the 350 grain FPB.I have tried and tried these bullets in all my rifles, knight lk93,TC Omega,CVA Wolf,CVA Accura and CVA Optima and never find any combination with consistant accuracy. I like the design of the bullet ,but can't get them to should worth a darn.
Anyone have any idea to help with accuracy with these bullets.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-12-13 AT 08:01PM (MST)[p]They have been accurate in pretty much any rifle I have used them in.

What powder and how much are you using?

Killed my elk this year with 90 gr of fffg 777 this year

In my Knight, I used 95 gr of BH 209

The CVAs may be too small of a bore for these bullets. Don't own one, but that is what I have heard. Your Omega many just not shoot them due to the QLA although many will.

I would try the knight again. I would start with 85 gr of powder and work up from there to about 105.

I start the bullets in the end of the muzzles by hand by placing them on top and wiggling side to side until you get them slightly started. Then use a short starter like this:
http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shoo...=SBC;MMcat104792580;cat104701680;cat104436180

Then push it down the rest of the way with a "T-handle" ramrod like this:
http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shoo...=SBC;MMcat104792580;cat104701680;cat104436180

Should be able to push it down the rest of the way with one hand. They recommed seating with firm pressure

You might also think about trying bullets like the Hornady great plains 385 gr or the no excuse 460 gr if the FPBs won't fly

Also, pyrodex RS may give you better groups. I only use fffg 777 or pyrodex P in my sidelock. In my inlines, I use ffg or RS

Thanks for the info. I will try again this week when I get a chance. I got plenty of the FPB bullets to shoot.Bought a bunch on sale.

I shoot 100 grains of bh 209 with a CCI 209 primer out of my traditions pusuit. Shoots great but I haven't put one into an animal to see how they perform
