Gun Smith Remington ML700

LAST EDITED ON Dec-10-13 AT 05:05AM (MST)[p]Does anyone know of a gunsmith along the Wasatch Front that will work on my Remington ML700?

I am not sure if he can even fix it. I forgot to clean my rifle last season and when I got it out of the case I found that the corrosion in the barrel was still there from the last shot I took. So, I tried to remove the breach plug to clean it and I rounded it off.

Can they get the breach plug out?

dump Kroil down the muzzle, let it soak a few days..If you cant get ahold of it at all anymore take it to a gunsmith, they will get it out one way or another.

cant help you with who to use, i send most of my stuff out of state.But smith and edwards and cabela's used to take in guns for gunsmiths, they just tag it with the problem and a gunsmith would pick them up and return them..dont know if they still do that tho.

Cleaned & Not Fired I Left a Load in My Stainless Remington 700ML for 3 Years just to see what the Black Nasty 3fff Powder would do to the Stainless Barrel & Breech Plug!

Never done a Damn thing to it!

You wouldn't wanna try it with a Black Carbon Steel Barrel!

You'd Best start putting some High Grade Anti-Sieze on the Threads of the Breach Plug!

Mines been Tight before,but Rounded it clear out?

You Use a quality 6 Point Socket or a Damn 12 Point Socket when you rounded it out?

I used to know of places worth Hiking in to for Elk & Deer!
Thanks to Illegal Bastards & the USFS not enforcing Rules you can Zing in to them Places on Wheelers now & not see a Damn thing!
But by GAWD it don't take long for them U-Tards to get there with all the Unethical BS and the New Technology!

Thanks to Illegal Bastards & the USFS not enforcing Rules you can Zing in to them Places on Wheelers now & not see a Damn thing!
But by GAWD it don't take long for them U-Tards to get there with all the Unethical BS and the New Technology!
