I drew a Nevada mule deer muzzleloader tag for 2014/2015 season I have a early season tag. I'm looking into purchasing a muzzleloader so I can start practicing. I have went to my local bass pro here in Cali to hold a few the 2 TC I held just didn't fit right. The traditions felt good but I had not heard much about them. I have shot a knight and liked it except I didn't like the idea of having to put the 209 primer into the disk. So here's my question does anyone have experience with the traditions vortex striker fire? The gun felt great but I have not shot one. I would also need to purchase iron sights for this specific hunt. Do you recommend there iron sights or a peep sight? I have $225 in bass pro gift cards so I'd prefer to purchase through them so I can use these things up there burning a hole in my pocket.thanks in advance for the help.

I personally wouldn't waste my money (or a gift card) on a Traditions gun, or a CVA, for that matter.

I've had great experiences with my TC and Savage guns.

Get a TC Omega and put peep sights on it, I think you'll be happy.
