I shoot this load out of 50 cal TC Omega and I can t say enough about how accurate it is, not to mention a death pill on BIG bucks.

How much powder are you using? I've halfway tried to find an accurate load for my Omega using BH209 and haven't had much luck. I have a great shooting load with 2 magnum T7 pellets and a 250 Barnes TMZ @ 2025 fps which I'll be using again this year. Swabbing is a pain though so I would eventually like to find a good load with the "smokeless".

My TC Encore in .50 caliber likes 90 grains of 777 and the 300 grain Thor all copper bullet. I killed two cow elk with this rifle and and this load and the performance is plenty 'good nuff.' I like the Thor bullets.

In my omega, it likes 110 gr of BH209, over a 300gr barnes TEZ, with a Remington premier STS primer. I run a light spit patch, a dry patch, and fire a primer after every shot when practicing just to keep things consistent.

Clover leafs are possible at 100 yards. Never chrono'd it but it packs a punch. I've had multiple 200+ yard kills including a nice bull elk at 210. DRT on that shot.

Good luck.

My 70 year old dad just finished up his muzzy elk hunt and killed a bull at 200 yards. I spent hours working up a good shooting load for his CVA Accura Mountain Rifle with lower recoil. This gun shot really well using 80 grains of Blackhorn 209 with a .290 grain Barnes T-EZ and a Winchester 209 magnum primer. I did purchase the new 209 breech plug for his rifle. He could consistently hit 32 oz Gatorade bottles out to 265 yards with his 3 MOA Bushnell reddot. The Barnes bullet did some serious damage to his bull.

I also shoot a CVA MR with a Cabela's 1X scope with the same load and it is one accurate load.

PS, I meant to type the 290 gr TEZ. I seem to always round up numbers in my head...at least that's what my wife tells me.
