Inherited an Austin & Halleck brand new in the box. Know they went out of business. Trying to see if anyone has a owners manual that they could copy and send.

I hope it works out for you. I've been shooting my A&H for 10 years. For the life of me I just couldn't get any consitency out of it. I finally threw in the towel this year and bought a new CVA and couldn't be happier. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it's not performing that way you want, do wait 10 years like I did. There's a lot better guns out there. There's a reason they're out of business. Not trying to burst your bubble, just want you to have some A&H info, cause there's not much out there.

John The Bastard has an A&H black powder rifle. It prefers a 'fouled barrel' for best accuracy. In fact, it is not accurate with a first shot from a clean barrel. It is a tack driver after the first shot that blackens its barrel. Cow Tag

I have 2 A/H both shoot excellent, however the issue I encountered on both is that the barrel is not on straight to the action.. I was having trouble sighting in and adjusting sights. I took to machine shop put on Mill machine and set the bit on center where the scope ring screws are. Then ran the bit the length of the barrel and found out it was 3/16? off center at the bore. My rear sight is all the way to one side, but the gun shoot very tight groups. Left one as open sights the other has a Red Dot on it. I shoot 150 gr pellets and 295 or 348 Power belt. Groups are very tight.

I had a blast with it and had it sighted in at 100 yds within 5 shots with 1x scope. I noticed the sight on the end of the barrel was off center as well so I went with the scope. Nice shooting, not the kick I remember with the muzzleloader but it has been 30 years since I shot one. I was shooting 295 power belts and the imr white hots with the 209 primer.
