Old brass stuff dangerous?

I am still using old brass powder horn and powder measure. Can that spark? Is it safe? I just figured that maybe there is newer, safer stuff. It is 25 years old!

no, why would brass be dangerous? its been used for more years than i can even think of for measuring black powder.

FrontierGander is correct. They are made out of brass because the brass won't spark. A steel one might spark and would be dangerous. A plastic one wouldn't spark but wouldn't be as durable.
