I know I am behind times but I finally got out and shot some Blackhorn powder. I could not get good groups with my 295Powerbelts .1 out of every 3-4 would be a flyer4-5 inchs out,but my saboted 45 cal pistol bullets were tacdrivers. Touched holes at 100 yards. very happy !
I was shooting my new CVA Optima topped with a Simmons Aetec scope.
All set for Michigans muzzleloader season.

Yep, you need a tight seal with the bullet over the powder for good ignition when using BH209. A tight fitting sabot or even a naked bullet (no sabot) but having a tight fit is critical. Best thing for powerbelts is to melt them down and use as fishing sinkers. Just sayin.
