LAST EDITED ON Mar-04-15 AT 11:40AM (MST)[p]Does anyone know where one can find a single piece (no dovetail) front sight ramp with a very fine blade that will screw directly to the barrel? Something like what Tru-Glo makes but with a fine blade instead of the fiber optic

I have a 1mm width Lyman blade on my Springfield A3-03 that I have used to kill elk with at up to 300 yards with great precision, and am having a heck of a time finding anything similar to match to the Williams FP aperture I got for my Knight Ultralight.

Please note I have looked firsthand at the XS patridge and was not impressed at all.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows where something like I've described can be found. I may just have to get one made.

Thank you,

Adam

Thanks bud, my original plan was actually to file down an XS to the width of the white line or a bit thinner, but after my buddy ordered one and I checked out the lack of quality (nevermind the ridiculous price!) I wouldn't trust the thing to hold up to much, especially filed down to the width I want. My buddy cracked the base by gently testing the fit of the dovetail. Appears to be made of some kind of pot metal.

Anyway, just thought I'd check here and see if there was something out there I missed in my search...I'll get something figured out.

And thanks for the link, great shooting and a real nice CO bull for Marley

Cheers'

Adam
