Are they Colorado Legal? Not quite a sabot, not a powerbelt. I'm also wondering if anyone knows how they might shoot out of my TC Omega which doesn't shoot non sabots real well.

yes they are colorado legal, they even state this in the hunting booklet.

Not sure how they do in an omega but my brothers CVA Accura V2 did great with them.

Thanks, I read my Colorado pamphlet before posting and it seemed that they would be legal. I'll give some a try and post back my impressions. If they don't improve the omega's accuracy I am going to sell it to someone who can use sabots.

Beanman, have you tried Hornady FPBs or Thors. With my Omega, seemed like those with a rear bell on the bullet did OK with only an occasional flier.

Between my brother and I we have taken 4 elk with the 350 Gr FPB (although not with a T/C gun). Loads pretty easily: drop it in the QLA, then use a short starter to give it a "whap" to get it started/sized to your bore. Then load as normal

Fred,

If legal, and think they are, you need
to seriously look at the Thor's.

They will send you a "kit" to see which diameter
bullet is the best for your particular rifle / bore.

It's easy. And you get the right stuff for
your gun.

I have my "kit" right here.

Fred, some "experts" around here, and their brother,
would have never even found the state of Colorado
had it not been for a damned good man.

They claim stuff as their own.

What kind of silly rant is this you are going on about?

FrontierGander,

Blow it out your left ear.

If you problem with that, contact me personally

I'd adore seeing you in person.

lol just ask what kinda trash talk was going on and then BAM! you get hit right out of the blue.

Forum is to dead right now to argue IMO. Then again, it may bring a little life back LOL.

Gander,

I got your back.

In 2010 you gave me info on my CVA Accura. The load you suggested was the best by far after trying 3 different bullets and 3 different powder combinations.

In fact, you should get an assist on the Nevada bull I killed that year.

FrontierGander,

I apologize for being rude.

I have some tips I'd share for
those type bullets.

Sorry about being an #####.
It didn't have anything to do with
you.

no biggy, took me more by surprise than anything else LOL.

Heres a small video I did with the B.O.R loc in an Accura V2.
