CVA Buckhorn Elk Load

I am likely to be using a CVA Buckhorn with a 1:28 twist this year for a CO elk hunt. Its been a while since I have been on a muzzy hunt, so I thought I would throw it here to the experts.

My initial thoughts is to try the Thor bullets with some 777 or BK209 and see how it shoots. I have ordered the "sizing kit" from Thor.

Any other suggestions from folks that have shot this gun before?

You cannot use Blackhorn 209 with your Buckhorn breechplug design.

#1 load I would try RIGHT AWAY, 80gr Pyrodex RS Or Select, 385gr hornady great plains.
