CVA Optima V2

I've narrowed it down via cost-effectiveness for elk hunting in Colorado. It'll still work for deer, moose, antelope anywhere if I chose.

Does anyone have any negativity towards this rifle? Versus the Accura I feel like it doesn't give me any less of a chance to shoot an elk at 100 yards. A deer at 200 yards, maybe, but that is most likely on the shooter.

Shooting non-sabots in Colorado is what lead me to this gun. $300 or less for this rifle I feel like is a screaming deal(in Realtree AP).

The Optima is a great rifle, I don't think the Accura offers much other than a slightly better trigger pull and a thumb hole stock option that can use both open sights or scope. The Optima thumbhole however is only good for scope use.

Mind you I am about as inexperienced of a muzzleloader you will find, however this is the gun my Dad gave me last fall at the completion of his UT hunt. He had it set up with a scope there and I liked it, now I have it set up with a peep sight for my hunt in CO this fall. He shot white hots and barnes sabots (both illegal in CO) so I have been shooting the new Federal premium rounds with blackhorn 209, and I like everything about it in both set ups. It has been accurate for us out to 200+ yards with scope, only got out to 60 yards with my new setup so far but hope to reach 120 yards or so with it.
I have zero experience with other muzzle loaders but really like this one. Easy to clean, shoots good with a variety of loads/sights and it was reasonable price for my Dad, great price for me (free :) )
