Seeking Advice About Parker ML Bullets

I am sort of interested in purchasing a box of the 450 grain Colorado legal Parker ML bullets. Heard just enough about them to spark my interest. Have any of you MM members tried these bullets? I plan on hunting Colorado this September during the black powder season carrying a TC Encore in .50 using BH 209 powder and a CCI magnum 209 primer. I heard through the hunter's grapevine that these Parkers 450 do shoot well in an TC Encore ML rifle. Any verification to this statement?

^I assume youre talking about the Hydracon? I think we talked about this before no?

Anyway, I've got a pile of em sitting at home, but haven't had time to get a good MZ range session in...was pretty sure would draw in CO but didn't, so it hasn't been a huge priority

Hoping to have the chance to blast a few of the 440's out of my Knight and likewise the 450's out of my bud's Triumph here soon

Will definitely post up a report!

Cheers

Adam

They should be great bullets for elk. However, I would be surprised if the Encore shot them well due to the QLA. But you never know until you try

A member of their group told me recently that these bullets did indeed shoot well in a TC Encore. I have other bullets that I have to do some practice shooting with before I purchase a box of Parkers ML bullets. My TC Encore ML rifle is in OK at present getting a tune up by TC Performance. Should be getting the weapon back soon and I will see what bullets do well with a new trigger job and a new hinge pin.

I drew a late muzzy elk tag in ID so I ordered a couple of packs of the 54 Cal 580 grain Hydra-Cons to try in my Knight MK-85. I shot half a dozen or so at a 10" diameter piece of steel at 100 yards with 100 grains of Triple7 with open sights. I was excited when my 2nd and 3rd shots rang the gong but had one that hit 2' right and 3' low. The others looked like they just missed. Didn't have a chance to mess with the powder charge, bullet lube, etc. nor had a target to see where all my shots were but I like what I see so far...
