Black powder hunters, two years ago I purchased an ignition replacement system from R&P Muzzleloading and was pleased with the improvement over my factory #11 cap system. Last season, I tried using the Black Horn powder in my Remington 700 ML rifle and was surprised to discover that my rifle would not shoot this powder. The powder would ignite somewhat but would only push the bullet out of the barrel probably 40 yards and very slowly at that. I did not put in a different breech plug. does a replacement ignition kit for a Remington 700 ML rifle require a different type of breech plug than the factory plug. The weapon fires 777 perfectly and that is what I used during the Colorado elk season 2014. Any opinions, corrections, deletions, concerns, or comments? Cow Tag

Good Question cowtag!

I shot about 12 Loads out of my Old Remington 700 ML Yesterday using BH 209 with No Problems!

Problem is a Guy back East built me the 209 Conversion for my Gun Long before any conversions were for sale on the Market!

So My Breech Plug May be different than yours?

Maybe Frontier Gander can Chime in?

I know on the New CVA Accura it takes a different Breech Plug to use BH 209!

Go Ahead!

Make Me take it down!
